Two clips from real lessons

His own footage — not stock, not a re-enactment. Press play; the sound stays off until you turn it on.

One length at a time. He briefs the student on the deck, watches the whole length from the side, then calls the correction when he comes up. The second student waits his turn.
A minute of lessons, back to back. Kick boards, glides, in-water support and children swimming on their own, cut together from his own lesson videos. It opens with the animated intro he made for himself.

Both clips were filmed at a condominium pool and are shown here as he sent them, at the resolution he sent them.

A lesson runs 45 minutes. Toddlers aged 1 to 3 swim for 30 minutes. Times are arranged with you directly - message me and I'll send what's free.

Teacher Leck poster: I charge the usual rate of $320 for 4 lessons, which is the norm for the aquatic industry. To do business we need costs, equipment and travel fees. To slash prices and get sales is not business, that is survival.

What a lesson is like

No two students arrive the same. A couple learning together can be at completely different stages and still both get a full lesson.

The teaching kit

Swimming is hard to explain with words alone, and harder still when your face is in the water. So most of it gets shown to you on dry land first.

Swim teaching equipment laid out on a pool deck
  • 01

    Anatomical figure

A small jointed human figure, used to show body position and movement above the water before you try it in the water. Students consistently name this as the thing that made the technique click.

  • 02

    Video feedback

Short clips filmed during the lesson, sent to you afterwards so you can see your own stroke and track the change over the weeks.

  • 03

    Pull buoy

Held between the legs to switch the legs off, so the lesson can isolate the arm stroke and the catch.

  • 04

    Fins

Used to build the feel of propulsion and correct the kick before the kick can hold you up on its own.

  • 05

    Stretching rod

Used in the warm-up, before anyone gets in the water.

  • 06

    Rubber toy fish

For the younger swimmers - a target to reach for, and a reason to put a face in the water without being asked to.

"I couldn't be happier with my swimming experience! I started my lessons with a real fear of water, but after just three lessons, I am able to do my first breaststroke. That progress has given me so much confidence. Mr. Leck is incredibly patient and never rushes the learning process. He explains techniques in a way that's easy to understand, even using dolls to demonstrate body positioning and movements, which makes everything much clearer."

"Teacher Leck is a rare kind of swimming coach: patient, student-centered, flexible, and genuinely passionate about teaching. He understands each child's needs and adapts his instruction in a very thoughtful way. One thing I really appreciate is how he uses videos to share feedback and track my son's progress. It helps us clearly see the improvement over time."

"Senior Coach Leck has been extremely patient and is a professional in what he does in the pool - his skills are top notched and within 6 to 7 lessons my son Kevin was able to go the distance, glide, and conquer his fear of water. Thank you Coach Leck for your tremendous expertise. My 3 other kids are next on the list!"
